One of the main aims of the church in Billingshurst is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
We host and support a number of community initiatives that give local people the opportunity to find out more about Christianity.
The four Billingshurst churches welcome families to Messy Church - fun, games, crafts, singing and stories for all to enjoy! Messy Church is usually held on the second Wednesday of each month, after school from 3:30pm to 5:45pm at Billingshurst Community & Conference Centre. All children must be accompanied by an adult. A sit down meal is provided.
For more information please visit the Messy Church website.
St Mary's runs a three-day holiday club for children in the village during May half term, ending with a Family Fun Day on the Sunday.
We have recently launched Street Pastors, in conjunction with the other Billingshurst churches and the local police. Street Pastors engage with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.
Billingshurst Show and Billifest
The church hosts a stall at two community events every year. Billingshurst Show is held in June and Billifest in December.
St Mary's is also involved in other local events, including assemblies at local schools, the Good Friday Walk of Witness and community action projects.
